Wow what a week for award ceremonies!  Wednesday 15th June saw our Wedding Team visit the Imperial War Museum for the North West Wedding Awards. Organised by County Brides this ceremony sees the great and the good in the industry awarded for their fantastic service to couples, made all the better as they are nominated by the brides and grooms themselves.  We were nominated in the Best Cumbria Venue and although we didn't win, felt proud that our couples had 'booked' us a seat at such a prestigious event.

Wednesday 22nd June, saw us again at the Cumbria Tourism Awards nominated in the Large Hotel category (we were winners in 2014).  Now being held at Cartmel Racecourse due to the sheer size of the event, (390 guests), it was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our industry's successes, especially after the winter months coping with the aftermath of the floods.  In a hard fought category unfortunately we lost out to The Waterhead, Ambleside, but vow to apply next year !

So after two disappointing award ceremonies you think we would be disheartened - but no! Cue Kelly and the team from our Green Rooms Spa who have been awarded a Client Experience Award by Phorest (their appointment system supplier) for achieving a 4 out of 5 score in their client reviews over the last year.

This award is based on the reviews of their clients - almost the trip advisor of the beauty world - and puts the spa in the top 3% of all hair and beauty salons in Ireland and the UK.

So with a result like that it wasn't a bad week after all!
