Lake District local produce
Executive Chef Justin Woods and his kitchen team source the very best local produce to develop a creative menu of Modern British cuisine. His latest offering is a Cumbrian tasting menu where he showcases suppliers that are no more than 55 miles from his kitchen door - a truly Lake District restaurant.
We offer three different menus; a daily changing three course menu at £28.00 per person, A La Carte menu and Cumbrian Tasting Menu. Guests can stick to one or mix and match to experience their perfect meal!
John Noble's saddleback pork with Cowmire Hall cider jus. Saddleback pork supplied by John Noble, Stoneyhead Farm Orton, 18 miles from Kendal. Cider from Cowmire Hall, 10 miles from Kendal.
Gingerbread and butter pudding with Kendal mint cake parfait. Gingerbread from Staff of Life Bakery. Kendal Mint Cake by Romneys, both Kendal-based.
Spectacular Kendal and Lake District views
The large panoramic windows afford a stunning view of our landscaped grounds, Kendal Castle and the Lakeland fells. Meanwhile, you can watch the creative process take place through our theatre kitchen window.
Our Greenhouse Restaurant will be undergoing a £200K refurbishment from January 5th – 30th inclusive. During this time we will relocate our restaurant, bar and lounge into the Kendal Suite and our traditional Westmorland Pub Alexanders will also be available.
