Following our award for Large Hotel of the Year from Cumbria Tourism in May we attended the North West Regional Awards at the prestigious Tower Ballroom in Blackpool on 28th September.
We were up against the Preston Marriott, Carden Park (Chester), The Lowry (Manchester) and Malmaison (Liverpool) and achieved a Highly Commended award from the judges coming second only to the five star Lowry hotel.
This is a fantastic achievement as all the other hotels are four star hotels and all part of large hotel groups. No other Cumbria Tourism large hotel winner has ever won the catergory or has achieved a highly commended award. So we are the most successful Cumbria Tourism Large Hotel winner - ever!
