Winning Customer Care

We have won the coveted 'Best Customer Care' Award at the Best Western Hotels awards gala dinner held at the Don Carlos Resort in Marbella, Spain.  The occasion marked the finale of the Best Western Annual member's Conference - the largest annual gathering of independent hoteliers in the UK.

The award was assessed from customer letters to Best Western's central office, internal customer feedback auditing and Trip Advisor ratings from the whole of the brand in Great Britain.  The Hotel beat off competition from 270 other hotels in the Best Western group to win the award and is a clear reflection of our commitment to customer care.

We were also one of only three hotels to be shortlisted for the Best Venue Award which celebrates the best conference venue and is decided by conference clients and booking agents.  Breakfast supervisor Leona Kurt was also nominated for the Jean Webb Award that rewards the Best Western team member who most positively represents the Best Western brand.

    Executive Chef Justin Woods was crowned Cumbria Life Chef of the Year on 2nd December.  Presenting his award Hairy Biker, Dave Myers congratulated Justin on maintaining his 2 AA rosette standard in the restaurant whilst overseeing our large banqueting operation, Alexanders Pub and lounge bar.
