Halloween is an exciting time! With scary skeletons and wicked witches around every corner, there’s no shortage of ways to get your spook on. Here’s our top picks for haunted happenings in the Lake District this Halloween.

The Brewery Arts, Kendal are known for hosting unique theatre experiences. Join them on Halloween night for Thunder Road - The Body Snatcher. Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s hair-raising horror, this production will combine live action, music, and storytelling to present a tale of mystery, morality, and science unhinged. Tickets are £13 and doors close at 8pm.

Planning a kids day out? The World of Beatrix Potter are offering free entry for all kids in Halloween costumes. The scarier the better! Enjoy learning about the magical life and vision of famous author, Beatrix Potter, while crafting spooktacular decorations. Only available 27th October.

Is a massive street party more your style? While not specifically a Halloweeny event, Penrith’s Winter Droving will boast plenty of seasonal spirit. On Saturday 26th at 10am, the Winter Droving will commence. Raise a toast to the changing seasons with a torchlight parade, fancy dress, street entertainment, live bands, and the biggest market known to Cumbria. Fancy dress is encouraged, particularly masquerade and woodland creatures.
